Junior studio course
Mondays from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
This class will focus on working in color through experimentation and mixed print techniques,
with the goal of developing a fluid, varied body of work in monoprint. Each student will produce a suite
of 10 images. Technical instruction will be in monotype, monoprint, chine colle, photolithography, photocollagraph,
Pronto plate, gum roll-ups. Discussions will include use of appropriation, role of narrative and
thematic content, benefits of collaboration, and contemporary strategies in print media.
